Our Weekend via Instagram

Hey dearies! What's up? It's been a while since I posted na I will make up for the lost posts, este time here. I'm so sorry kasi naayos nga internet connection namin, nawalan naman ako ng time. Super busy kasi sa work and all I want to do when I get home is to rest. Ayaw na gumana ng utak ko.

Anyway, kwento ko na lang how our weekend went via Instagram. By the way, please follow me naman on Intagram: @mommymaye. Thanks! Mwaah!

So our weekend started with this pleasant surprise from Belo Baby! My son was so happy because he loves Belo Baby products so much.

The truth is kahit big boy na sya he's still using baby products. I make sure he's safe from harmful chemicals the regular products have. Nga pala, please watch out for our Belo Baby product review ha.

Since Daddy was still at work, yup meeting on a Saturday, I decided to cook... Guess what?

It's sinigang na fried bangus. Yes, I love the bangus fried kapag sinigang. Nawawala kasi yun lansa nya e and feeling ko madali alisin ang mga tinik nya.

When Daddy was going home na he asked me if we have patis. I remember tuloy a short story from our High School English class, "Where's the Patis?"

Then come Sunday, after hearing a mass we went to the market and bought home stuff that we needed. After that, we decided to spend the rest of the day at our home sweet home.

It's always love spending time with my two boys. And because it's always a special day with them, I decided to cook a special dinner.

A special dinner was served!

And our weekend ended with this. Daddy A teaching Matthew his advance lesson.

Like I said, now words can describe how I feel every time I see these two.  It's all LOVE!

Oh sha... Our bed is calling me to sleep na kaya lang Daddy A was still not here. Parating pala. Time check: 9:10 PM. Hay, I don't want to rant but sometimes work is too much. Anyway, I will still choose to feel blessed rather than stressed.

Good vibes na lang! Lapit na ulit weekends e.

Flashback Friday: The Little Sweeper

Our son is a very helpful boy to the point that he will get very disappointed when he's not able to help us. I am happy that I can easily ask him to help me or to hand me something. Though there are times I already feel irritated because he won't let us do things without him helping.

What chore he loves to do? Look...

Homeschooling: Learning + Fun

Lately, I failed to give an update on our homeschooling journey. Honestly, our homeschooling schedule is not as often as before. My work and online shop get me so busy that I failed to give at least an hour to give way to our homeschooling. But not only that, I realize  I am  getting obsessed with homeschooling Matt. Almost forcing him to write and read. Unintentionally, I put pressure on him to learn fast. Yeah, I know, I shouldn't do that. He's only 3 but he knows so much for his age without proper schooling. He loves to learn at his own will. So I should really be thankful for that.

That's why I never force him now. I let him enjoy his toddler years. He loves puzzles so I buy him more puzzles with McQueen cars design. That makes him so so happy.

Welcome 2014!

Ang bilis! Yun na yun? New Year na, 2014 na. Good bye 2013!

This is a late post na and I think I still have the vacation hang over. Since we didn't got the chance to take a real rest, Daddy and I were a bit sick.

The minor home improvement at home kept us so busy during the holidays. Nevertheless, we are happy with how things turn out. I asked Daddy to take photos of what kept us busy but he hadn't taken any photo yet e. I'll show them to you one of these days. Uy, please don't expect much because it's really a minor home improvement.

Let me just share what we did days before the year ends.

The week that was, but not yet over...

Hello Momsies! After days of being missing in action, I finally have time to make a post. I have been into many things since weekend that's why I can't find time to blog.

Anyways, every time my son got sick, which is so rare thank God, I was the biggest worrier. It was Saturday night that I have felt he was a little hot. I got his temperature and it read 37.3. So may sinat na sya. Since I was praning I already gave him Dolan, then we slept. I woke up with someones light shaky kick at my side. I turn to Matt and saw he was chilling already with 39.9 C temperature. I jumped out of the bed and called Daddy who was still downstairs crocheting. I told him Matt was chilling. The last time he had this was when he had a burnt accident. Immediately, I asked Daddy to bring a basin of lukewarm water. Maya't maya ko sya pinunasan. I didn't sleep all through the night and I kept on checking his temperature. Nagulat pa ko na it was morning na pala. I checked Matt's temperature, it was 38.2 na so we went downstairs.

It really breaks my heart to see Matt sick. Di bale na hyper sya wag lang un parang lantang gulay na may sakit.

Hello momsies! I have been missing in action for days already. So please expect this to be another long post. I know you had your long weekend too and I will share with you what we have done last weekend.

We spent our weekend at Daddy's in Nueva Evija. Actually, we are still undecided to go home because of the weather. Luckily, the sun went up on Saturday. Yey! Since we still need to go to work on Saturday, we tagged along the little boy so we will drive straight to home na right after Daddy Allan's meeting.

I love August and Holidays!

I was missing in action yesterday. Why? Because it was a holiday here in Bulacan. I think it's the Foundation Day and August 15 was declared as one of the many provincial holidays in Bulacan. I love it!

August has 2 holidays plus the Eid-ul-Fitr last August 9. And here in Bulacan we have 2 more provincial holidays. I really love it!

Anyway, let me just share how our day went on yesterday. As usual, we woke up because of Matthew. He maybe thought it was a Sunday so he told us that we must get up and go to Church. Here's our just woke up photo so please excuse my face, hehe.

Our Wooden Anniversary

Last Saturday, we have celebrated our wooden anniversary. It's the 5th year of our marriage and the 10th year of our love. Yes, we got married on the same day we discovered we love each other more than a friend.

As usual, we have a simple celebration. I cooked macaroni spaghetti as requested by Daddy Allan. I went home first because he was in Tarlac for an audit and the next day also he needs to be in our plant here in Bulacan. So all plans cancelled. Talking about "good" timing noh?

Going back, I cooked macaroni spaghetti. When the sauce was about to boil, the fire went out. My gulay, we ran out of LPG pa. I get my wallet to see if I have cash. Luckily I have 600 pesos and I borrow 50 pesos from my brother. I told Daddy to call for LPG delivery the soonest. Thank God it arrived fast and have it installed asap.

We all waited for Daddy until almost 8 in the evening. When he parked the car, the little boy went out so happy and delighted. Guess what he get first? I saw him holding a box of cake roll Daddy bought. He kept on saying "I have a Pocoyo cake." Yes, he can't forget his yummy Pocoyo cake.

Homeschooling: Our First Month + Fine Motor Skills Activities

When we decided to homeschool Matt, I know it will not be easy. For I need to shed an hour or two of my time everyday, after work. And that I need a lot of patience in dealing with this hyperactive boy.

We started homeschooling a week before the school year start. Matt was so excited, while I was still doubtful whether it will be the best choice. But as the days and weeks goes by, it became a routine and even Matt won't sleep without at least doing a lesson.

With homeschooling, I got a chance to take a closer look at Matt's learning behavior. At first, I want to follow a certain curriculum as a guide. But then since Matt already knows what that curriculum could teach him, I feel that if we continue following it Matt will get bored.

Homeschooling is a Challenge

Since Matt is turning 3, we are thinking of sending him to school. At first we don't see any problem since there's a school just few steps away from our home. But we are so wrong, because the school near us don't have Nursery level. They have Kinder 1 and 2 but the age requirement is at least 4 years old.

That really worries us. So we talked about it and we decided to just wait for a year. Anyway if ever he will be enrolled in Nursery he will still take Kinder 1 and 2. But again, at one point I get confused again because of what I have read and heard.

Good thing Daddy talked to her sister, who is a pre-school/elementary teacher. She said she will give us books to guide us what to teach Matt. And while looking for Nursery module, I came across a thread about homeschooling. Actually, I have read and heard much about homeschooling but I never pay much attention since I am a working mom.

I have inquired at Catholic Filipino Academy already. According to CFC, Matt is too young for they Kinder program and so they gave me the Reading program package, which is for children 3 1/2 years old and above. The Reading program is package consists of:
