New Year's Day 2020

Four months after, here's our New Year' day celebration.

No kidding yes, I am posting how we spent our New Year's day. This to remind everyone that amidst the health crisis we are going through right now, there are so many things to be grateful for. Like our family.

Let me start our story with this cute not so little boy who opened all his coin banks on New Year's day.

It has been our tradition to open his coin banks on the first day of the year. Daddy A helped him. He don't save that much as we don't give him money regularly. But at least he knows how to save and that's more important.

Also, every year, it's our tradition to take our first family picture of the year. Look who've got his first picture for the year.

He took advantage while we are still dressing up. Such a happy boy!

We did our best to get the best shots.

More photos of us.

But this is my favorite.

And it is also our tradition to hear a mass on the first day of the year.

We thank God for the year that was and for the new year that is about to start.

National Shrine of the Divine Mercy

By the way, that is the world’s tallest statue of the Divine Mercy.

The 100-feet tall monument stands atop a four-storey multipurpose building at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy’s compound.

This photo is also my favorite. We tried to get the statue as background but it was still bright where he stood.

That's my quick story of how we started 2020. We may not doing good now because of the health pandemic we are battling, but let us remember that God is here. God is good, all the time.

Welcome 2019!

Since it's a New Year we openened Matthew's piggy bank.

These were the money he saved from his 20-peso baon everyday and from selling ice pops just later this year. Since he got inspired, he's starting to save as soon he got back to school.

Every New Year, we go to Church and hear the first Mass for the year.

This is our first family for 2019!

We took some photos before we left our house.

When we arrived at the nearby Church at 1:30pm, we were informed that the mass will be at 3:00pm pa. So we have no choice but to wait. Took photos again, syempre.

This! One of my 2019 goals is to lose weight. I am obese na, huhu! I should atleast lose 10 kilos this year.

E sya naman, he lost weight na. Hmmm.

Finally, the mass started.

And after the mass, our new van was blessed by the priest.

We went home pala with free bibingka na pinilahan namin ng almost two hours, haha.

Because Matthew was hungry, they went to gym near the Church where we saw the booths to buy food sana. There's a free birthday buffet of one of the priest there. So ayun early blessings for 2019.

Again, Happy New Year everyone!

Media Noche 2019

Before the clock hits midnight, we took photos of us.

Mahirap na baka makalimutan, wala na memories. Haha!

Kidding aside, I love taking photos of us, which I can look back at when we get older.

When the clock hits 12:00am, we were outside waiting for our neighbors' fireworks.

It's raining non stop but that doesn't stop everyone to welcome the New Year with a bang!

After watching the fireworks outside, we went in our house to have our Media Noche

Since we had our own house, my in-laws stay with us to celebrate New Year.

Here's our Media Noche food that we have prepared.

Welcoming 2018!

Finally! Eleven days after New Year, here I am writing about how we welcome 2018.

Mga bes, I know January will be a busy month for me. What I didn't anticipate e magkakasabay sabay lahat ng activities like year end report, meetings, seminars and even Matthew's 3rd quarterly examination. Ending ngarag talaga ako.

Tambak na pending posts ko. Remember my Singapore trip last September pa? Hay... I didn't know where to start.

Actually, just this night I reviewed Matthew. Times like this I am thinking of having a tutor for him. Yun lang talaga being a hands on mom, for sure hindi ako mapapakali not knowing how and what they have reviewed or studied.

Well anyway, enough of this drama, and share ko na muna how we welcome 2018!

The day before New Year's eve, I received my essential oil blends I ordered from Healthy Oils PH.

Daddy has cough for weeks na that time kaya napabili ako nyan when I saw it on Facebook. I will tell more about it in a separate post.

Then, as usual, lagi kaming naghahabol with our home beautification. Daddy repainted our room.

Since December 30 is a holiday, I have time to clean and reorganized our home.

Sa totoo lang mga muthers, noong araw lang na yun ulit ako nakapag-general cleaning. We have no househelp e and now we are going through tough times again looking for a househelp. Kaka-stress but lucky I have this little boy, my stress reliever.

Next day, we went to Church since we can not go to na that New Year's eve.

We are thankful for 2017. It was a very blessed year for us. Will make a recap soon (I know, it will be late again...)

This is our simple salubong and celebration for 2018.

My cheesy carbonara.

My chicken macaroni salad.

Daddy's barbecue and hotdogs.

Ham.

Daddy's bibingka.

Leche flan.

My fruit salad.

And of course fruits and chocolates.

For years, this is how we welcome New Year.

Simple lang.

But I always believe, simple celebration with the family is always the best.

Medyo belated na, but still Happy New Year from our family to yours!

Have a more prosperous, bountiful, joyful and blessed 2018!
