Can't think of the right title eh. But the following photos are taken just this morning. Can't help myself from sharing these with you.

Photostory: Matt on His Mickey Mouse Hat
Daddy modified and beautified the Mickey Mouse hat of Matthew. I told him, he is doing beautiful crochet of our customer yet our son's Mickey Mouse hat is not so nice. LOL.
So here's Matt looking happy at his new Mickey Mouse hat.
When he goes around the village every morning he always wear his Mickey Mouse hat while holding his Mickey Mouse stuff toy. I wonder why he is so attached with Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse will be the first and last thing on his mind everyday. He can't sleep without it and Tita told us he wouldn't want Mickey be washed. All his stuff toys were already washed and cleaned except Mickey Mouse. Hehe.
Enjoy the rest of the day. Time is running fast again. *Sigh*

Do It Yourself: Mickey Mouse Party Hat
Today I will share with you how to make your own Mickey Mouse Party hat. If you don't have time to make you can buy it at Toy Kingdom at PhP 69.++ for 6 pieces. I find this expensive so I decided to just do it myself.
Materials:
Cartolina (black, choose the glossy and thick one) - PhP 17.00
Carolina (red) - PhP 8.00
Glue
Scissor
Mickey Mouse head pattern
How to do it:
Print the pattern below and paste in a folder.
Trace this pattern on back side of the black cartolina.
Cut them.
Now, just cut a long rectangle out from the red cartolina.
Glue them together like this and you will have your own Mickey Mouse party hat.
So why buy if you can Do It Yourself?

Do It Yourself: The Mickey Mouse Invitation
As promised, I will post the DIY Invitation we made for Matt's second birthday.
For the Holder:
First, this is the Mickey Mouse head pattern:
Print this on a bond paper then paste to a folder or print directly to a folder. The size is 4.5"x5.41".

Trace this pattern in a black cartolina. I chose the glossy cartolina. Trace on the back side.
Cut the trace MM heads.
Now, paste it again on a yellow cartolina for the yellow highlights. Paste the ears first because you will need to insert the stick in between.
Cut them.
For the stick, I just wrapped a barbecue stick with a yellow art paper. Cut yellow art paper like this one:
I just added embellishment like buttons. Done with the Mickey Mouse Head Holder.
For the Ticket Style Invitation:
I searched for a pattern like this one:
I used Photoscape and Paint apps to make my own look-a-like of the above.
I actually start from the scratch since I can't edit the pattern above. The colors are different and the wordings as well.
I made this first on a document (Microsoft Office Word).
I hope my explanation below can help you understand how to make one exactly like the one above :)
After this I copied this to Photoescape then to Paint to make a .png image like this:
The circles on the four sides were erased or removed using Paint app.
I used this image as the background:
Adjust the opacity to look like this:
Add the embellishments and wordings, and this is all done!
You can download Photoscape and Paint for free. These are much easier to use than the Photoshop, promise ;)
So thats it! How do you find my DIY invitation? You can view the DIY souvenir HERE.

Do It Yourself: The Souvenir
For Matthew's second birthday, I made a refrigerator magnet as souvenir. Of course, it's still with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme.
My first idea was to print faces of the Disney characters of the MMC. However, I find it difficult to cut it after it is laminated. So, I searched for a nice design that includes all the Disney characters and I found this:
I just edit the white space and put my own wordings using Photoscape.
Then, print this on a white board paper (A4). Size of each image is 2"x2.79" . I just arranged them so to maximize the paper, like this:
After printing, cut them.
Laminate.
Cut them.
We bought magnets from National Bookstore. These are attached to a button but I find it difficult to glue so Daddy Allan pull them out one by one :)
I used glue stick to stick the magnet at the back. Just glue one magnet.
That's it simple and easy DIY Ref Magnet.
By the way, we have found out that there's a magnetic paper you can use for ref magnet. But I just think that I still need to laminate it so the design won't fade. If you have a good printer maybe you can try it so you don't need to laminate and then glue a magnet at the back.
From now on, I will share my DIY ideas. Please share yours too, thanks!

Photostory: Matthew's Second Birthday Invitation
Matthew's second birthday is coming real soon! I have mentioned here and here that the party theme will be Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
In every party there should be an invitation and it should be the first thing to do in your list. I will share with you the invitation I already made for Matt's second birthday.
This will be the holder of the ticket style invitation above.
I made the ticket style invitation using Photoscape. I just downloaded the necessary images from the net. As for the holder, I will just print the Mickey Mouse face pattern and the half red circle then trace it on the black and red cartolina or art paper. Then paste the buttons, either yellow or white. I will then attach the stick so it will look like a lollipop or a fan, whichever you want :)
Together it will look like this...
Do you like it? I hope I can teach you the step by step procedure. I will try to, one of these coming days.
Happy Sunday!

Mommy Moments: Matthew and Mickey
My son loves cuddling stuffed toys. In fact he has many stuffed toys like Winnie the Pooh, Barney, Jollibee, Gianina the Pink Bear, Cuddly Pillow and of course his most favorite - Mickey Mouse.

| He will actually not sleep without Mickey. |
They became his comfort toys. Sometimes he will shout for Mickey's name, from "Micka" to "Mickey" now. He will not sleep without Mickey on his side :)
I don't know why he loves them all. What I know is that my son is caring and lovable, enough for me to not worry much.
Share the Love...
