AJI-GINISA® marks 30 years of gisa goodness in the Philippines

As AJI-GINISA® marks 30 years of gisa goodness in the Philippines, the APC Group welcomes Zia Dantes as newest member of the Ajinomoto family.

From the Release Kit:

It’s been 30 years since AJI-GINISA® was first introduced in the Philippines. As the first flavor seasoning in the country that provides complete gisa deliciousness, AJI-GINISA® changed the way Filipinos cook sumptuous homemade meals for their families.

Three decades ago, AJI-GINISA® brought the gisa taste of garlic, onion, meat, and seasonings in an easy-to-use package. Today, as the well-loved flavor seasoning turns 30, the Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) Group proudly launches a new and improved version—now made ‘more meaty, more gisa” in an 8g pack retailing only P3.00 (SRP).

“We are grateful to be a kitchen staple in Filipino household for the past 30 years.  It’s both humbling and a delight to know that AJI-GINISA® plays an important part of families’ bond over delicious food. With the improved Aji-Ginisa®, we wish that more families, especially the young ones, to eat nutritious meals, which should do wonders in these challenging times,” said Roann Co, Ajinomoto General Manager of Marketing and Public Relations.

As part of the celebration, the APC Group is also excited to welcome the newest member of the Ajinomoto family: Zia Dantes, the adorable daughter of the brand’s long-time brand ambassador and superstar Marian Rivera-Dantes.

Zia is the perfect endorser for the new and improved AJI-GINISA®, as she embodies the brand’s mission of encouraging fellow kids to eat nutritious, yummy food, made possible through AJI-GINISA®. It’s fitting to have the mother-and-daughter tandem of Marian and Zia as they capture what AJI-GINISA® has been doing for years—making it easier for parents to have their kids eat more vegetables.

Launched in 1991, the AJI-GINISA® has always been the “secret ingredient” that makes any stir-fried vegetable meal taste appealing to kids and adults alike. With just a few sprinkles of AJI-GINISA®, ordinary veggies become extraordinary dishes. The reason behind this is the product’s powdered form that makes it easier to apply to any dish. While AJI-GINISA® is perfect for stir-fried dishes, it is also perfect for fried rice, fried egg, and fried fish. among others. Its recent quality improvement will also give you improved overall deliciousness or ‘umami’, stronger gisa taste and enhanced meaty taste.

AJI-GINISA®’s 30th year in the country is reflective of the brand’s strong “Eat Well, Live Well” promise, helping Filipinos enjoy nutritious and delicious meals through the years. With the new and improved AJI-GINISA®, the brand also hopes to enjoin more families, especially kids, to live a healthier lifestyle.

“What an amazing 30 years it has been for AJI-GINISA®. We are humbled to have been embraced by Filipino homes through the delicious meals that AJI-GINISA® helped cook. We look forward to being part of more memorable and happy moments for the family around the dinner table,” Co shared.

Technology That Your Kids Can Use To Benefit Their Lives

Source

Whilst you won’t want your children getting too attached to technology, there will be certain benefits they can enjoy from them. Children appropriate technology can come in different forms, with some of them being explained in the guide below.

Video Games
You may be surprised to hear this, but video games for children can hold many educational values for their development. This is why some schools encourage certain games to be played both in school and at home. There will be certain downsides, like addiction, but in general, your children will enjoy benefits from this. They will be able to develop life skills and practical skills, as well as make social connections.

Video games can also help boost creativity and promote creativity growth. There will be some video games that aren’t appropriate, but these will be marked off as age content, meaning you know how old someone should be before playing this game.

Safety Devices
Aside from video games that can help with education and growth, there will be technology available that helps protect your child. In recent years, technology has started to be used more for safety means, which is why you see video webcams available at front doors in recent times, whereas you wouldn’t have been allowed them previously due to privacy laws.

These door cameras allow you to keep an eye on who appears at your door at any time of the day, whether you’re there or not. Whilst it’s unlikely your child will have access to these door devices, there may be other options that they can use personally for their safety.

There are kids’ watches with GPS available from COSMO that allows you to safely track where your child is using an app on your phone. As you can imagine, this is a great benefit for your entire family that can be useful in an emergency or just generally trying to find out where they are and why they’re running late. These watches also allow your child to call or message you if needed, but won’t have features available on adult smartwatches, as they would be inappropriate.

Tablets And Mobile Devices
There are many reasons as to why you would want to allow your child to use a mobile device or a conventional tablet. The first is that they can stay in contact with you when you’re outside of your home which will be a reassurance. However, these devices also carry several educational benefits. This is why some schools incorporate tablets into their education, as they realize the benefits they carry and how normal in society they are.

Video Applications
There will also be video applications that you and your children can use for either fun reasons or education. These apps will allow you to view viral videos or watch children’s content for free, or find extra content through a premium subscription.

As with anything, you will need to ensure that you are acting safe with them, and not crossing any dangerous lines. Consider installing firewalls and security measures to prevent certain apps from being used and certain videos from being watched.

How to Teach Your Child to Read

Shutterstock photo

Children learn many important skills in just their first few years of life. They learn to walk, to speak, to be polite, to play, and so on. However, one of the most foundational things your child will learn is how to read. A child who learns to read well will be much more prepared for life than a child who doesn't.

With all this riding on reading, you might be a little worried about exactly how you should be teaching your little one to read. After all, having a good method and maybe even holistic learning materials means that half the battle has already been fought. So here you'll find a few of the best ways to teach reading to your child.

Language Experience

This immersive reading method makes reading real for the child by making them read things that describe what they can see right in front of their eyes. By arranging words and sentences under pictures or things and having the child read with you, they associate the words with the things the words are talking about, making reading a more tangible experience.

Phonics

Phonics learning is a tried-and-true reading method. The child learns each sound or combination of sounds in order to be able to put them together into words. While initially more difficult and less rewarding than other methods, phonics is said to be the most dependable and thorough reading method because of its rooted approach to language.

Look and Say

This reading method is relatively new and focuses on teaching the entire shapes of words rather than the individual sounds. Learners use tools such as flashcards to memorize words and recognize them later. This method is fast but sometimes leaves readers unequipped for handling new words that they haven't encountered yet.

These are the three most common reading methods used in schools and by parents to teach children to read. How effective any given method is will vary depending on the child, as well as their learning speed and various needs, so above all, be patient and have fun!

4 Signs It Is Time To Call The Best Plumber In Denver

Your plumbing system is essential to your daily life. You use the water many times a day, and you rely on the drainage system to remove water and waste from your home. If your plumbing system isn't working correctly, many daily tasks will be challenging and even impossible.

If your plumbing system is exhibiting any of the following signs, you should call the best plumber in Denver as soon as the problem starts.

#1 Slow Or Clogged Drains

As careful as you are with what you put down the drain, grease, food, hair, and soap will find their way down the drain, causing a clog.

Many people will try to resolve the issue using a liquid drain cleaner, but this is a mistake. There is no guarantee that the drain cleaner will remove the entire clog. If it doesn't, it is just a matter of time before you have drain issues again. Also, these products contain harsh chemicals that can be damaging to the pipes.

A plumber can use a drain camera to determine the size of the clog and its location. This will help them choose the best method to remove the clog and the best way to reach the clog.

#2 Water Heater Issues

Although your water heater is considered an appliance, it is an essential part of your plumbing system. Without a properly functioning water heater, you won't have hot water. The best way to prevent a complete breakdown is to recognize issues early. These include:
  • No hot water
  • The water isn't getting hot enough
  • Discolored hot water
  • Foul-smelling hot water
  • Poor hot water pressure
  • Strange sounds coming from the water heater
  • Moisture or leaks around the water heater
It is best to call a plumber as soon as your water heater acts up. If you have it checked out early, you can prevent a minor issue from becoming a major one.

#3 Frozen Pipes

Winters in Denver are very cold, which puts your pipes at risk of freezing. If you try to turn your water on when it's freezing outside, and nothing comes out, your pipes have likely frozen. According to Denver Water, you shouldn't wait for nature to take its course. Instead, you should call the best plumber in Denver immediately.

When the pipes freeze, the ice expands in the pipes, which can cause them to burst. Burst pipes can flood your entire home; therefore, you should call a plumber immediately.

#4 Poor Water Pressure

Inadequate water pressure is a frustrating issue. Poor water pressure will cause simple tasks to take longer than necessary and affect how your water-based appliances perform. The issue could be something simple like a clogged aerator, which is a relatively simple fix. The problem could also be a clogged pipe or a leaking water line, requiring more complex repair. It is best to call a plumber as soon as the water pressure problem begins.

Plumbing repairs are not great DIY projects. According to Family Handyman, there are several ways a DIY repair can turn into a disaster. Your plumbing system is complex, and it is best to hire a plumber to handle the repairs.

More Free Online Games at Solitaire.org

When I am stressed or drained at work, I usually take small break by playing games in my computer or phone. As I grow older, I prefer simple, casual games like Solitaire.

It may sounds "oldies" but playing casual games help me to relax and refocus. And if you are like me who prefer simple, casual, uncomplicated games check out Solitaire.org. But don't be deceive by its site name, because they have more than just card games.

Aside from the classic solitaire, which by the way has so many kinds (now I know!), there are hidden object games, match 3 games, and puzzles like crosswords and sudoku. I am so sure you will find something fun there.

Much more interesting is at Solitaire.org, you don't need to download the games. You can play online for free and with no ads cutting your games. No need to register and they don't ask for personal information so it is safe.

Let me share some of the online games I tried. Of course, first on my list is Solitaire. I didn't know that it has many kinds and the one I keep on playing is the Klondike or the classic Solitaire. It is one of the classic games installed in my PC back then (decades ago?).

Next on my list, is another favorite, the Freecell. There 12 kinds of Freecell games available but I prefer the Freecell Solitaire. It differs from Classic Solitaire in that the cards are dealt face-up.  It features four empty spaces, or cells, that are used for the temporary storage of single cards.

One of the word games I tried is Letter Scramble. In this game, there are letter tiles continuously appearing that you will use to to create valid English-language words. There are 3 levels starting from 20, 30 and 40. This is a time pressure game by the way.

Of all the kinds of games at Solitaire.org, I enjoyed the hidden objects games the most. I played this Hidden Kitchen. This game shows hidden objects on the right side. Many objects are not shown to relative scale and hard to see so you need to zoom them. There are 10 levels that are timed.

If you are a fan of Tumble Bugs, you will love Zumba Ball.

This game has 10 levels with a finite ball chain which moves toward the end of the level. You need to create sets of 3 or more balls in a row to remove them from the chain before it gets to the end.

There are many other interesting free online games at Solitaire.org. These games are all suited for kids as well so it is safe for them to try and play.

Comment your favorite game below. Or maybe I missed a game I would have love? Please let me know.
