My Dream Family Vehicle

family, family vehicle, car, vehicle, home, home and living,

Before 2018 ended, we made a big decision of buying our own family vehicle. We just tried loaning it to a bank where we have a savings account. We just tried and if ever it will not be approved then it's  okay. I believe if it is meant to be, it will happen. If not, then it's God's will.

Then after 3 days, Daddy A got a call telling us that our car loan was approved. By the way, we already talked with an agent and we have a choice of vehicle already before applying. And yes after 3 days, it was approved.

We were at awe whether to continue or not because in a few days it will be Christmas. So we asked the bank if ever we complete the requirements and pay the down payment and other fees on that day, we can take home the vehicle the next day. They said it depends if the vehicle is already available and we if all the documents will be in before 5:00 PM that day.
It was a Friday and they have no office on weekends and they just called Daddy A at 2:00 PM. We really can't decide at first whether to continue loaning or not. Like what I have already said, we just tried it. Also. acquiring a vehicle will mean we will have to pay monthly amortization again for 5 years again. Though we have finished paying for our house, we still don't know what is install for us in the future. Because 5 years is still a long period of time. Plus the fact that we only have 3 hours to complete the requirements, and pay for the down payment and other fees like insurance, etc.

So breathe in, breathe out. We think hardly that time and prayed for God's will and guidance that He may help us to make the best decision. Then I told Daddy to call the agent if the vehicle is already available and if we can take it home before Christmas. I said if we can, then we can continue our loan and go the bank as soon as possible to beat the 5:00 PM deadline.

The agent said yes if we can process our application and pay for the fees that day. Hearing that Daddy A asked me if we can file an under time since it's only 3:00 PM. So we did and the processing was a bliss.

The bank personnel assigned to us was very helpful. It was an advantage that we first made an bank inquiry about the car loan. Also, it's a good thing that we have an existing savings account and we don't need to carry cash.

To cut the story shorter, yes we took home my dream family vehicle before Christmas. Our van, yes a van, is almost 5 months now. It undergone, 2 routine maintenance like oil change where it uses a car lift from Best Buy Auto Equipment like this.

car lift, Best Buy Auto Equipment

We are using our van when we have a long trip or when we are going to our province.  Although we are only 3 in the family, we find it very  convenient when travelling with a spacious 15-seater vehicle. The company car is  the one we still use daily to work.

It was always my dream to have a van especially during the time when my mother was still with us. I want her to have a very comfortable travel but she didn't got the chance to experience that. Anyway, I always believe in God's plan and for sure she is looking from  up there smiling.

So that's my dream family vehicle.  Have you purchased your dream car?

Features You Should Look For In An RV

vehicle, RV, camping vehicle

Buying an RV is both exciting and challenging. If you are buying this type of vehicle for the first time, you need to make sure that you are getting a good deal. When finding the right RV, the features are going to be essential.

Some may consider basic features as acceptable but when they start traveling, this is when the real problem begins due to lack of space and other important features. While there are plenty of options for you to choose from, not all of them can provide you with the convenience you are looking for. When you shop, checking these following features out might just help you make the right decision:

The size of the tank

This feature is often overlooked until you decide to go on a camping trip. Why is this feature important? You need to fill up the tank with fresh water and if you are going camping for a week or two, you need a steady supply of water to ensure comfort. You need to consider the tank size if you are planning to stay in national parks or in state. This feature will not matter if you prefer to stay at private campgrounds.

Slide in

RV dealers are already set up once bought, but the slide in may not be included. RV ownership gives you the freedom to make use of your own bathroom or kitchen so it is only imperative that you gain complete access to them. You need to make sure that you can open the refrigerator door even when the slides are already in. You should also check the access to cabinets and drawers.

The size of the bathroom

One of the biggest advantages of RV ownership is having your own bathroom. However, some RVs have smaller bathrooms that you cannot even stand in the shower. So if you are going to spend your entire morning routine in the shower, you need to make sure that there is enough space for you to take a bath, especially if you have little kids.

If you are going to give your kids a bath or a shower, you also need to make sure that more than one person can fit in. Can you still manage to close the bathroom door? Is there enough space for you? If you think that the bathroom does not have enough space, may as well consider other RVs because comfort should be your priority while on vacation.

Privacy

If you are traveling with your kids or grand kids, privacy is going to be a concern. These days, many RVs have been swapping doors with curtains. If this does not seem to be a big deal, bedrooms with curtains are never a problem. However, if you are more concerned about your privacy, you will need a bedroom door.

Bed Arrangement

The bed arrangement is another factor that you need to look into when shopping for RV. Bunk beds allow other family members to climb around or into the beds. To some, this can be inconvenient, especially if you are concerned about comfort. More often than not, if you have a small bedroom, you will need to compromise comfort to ensure that everyone can be accommodated in the bedroom.

Find out which option works for you before you make a commitment. You might also want to consider the ease of making your bed. If you find it difficult to walk around your mattress, your morning routine is going to turn into an aerobic feat.

Aside from the features, you should also keep safety in mind. It is easy to assume that all RVs are roadworthy, but before you purchase the vehicle, be sure to do thorough research. You also need to check the maintenance records, especially if you are buying a used RV. You should also check the storage because it is an important factor to consider.

While it is often overlooked, the storage capacity is important especially if you have a lot of stuff to bring. There should be enough room for your shoes, clothes and other essential belongings. You will not be able to enjoy your vacation if there is no room for your stuff.

Knowing the features of the RV will help you figure out the perfect RV for your recreational needs. You may also contact May’s RV to explore your recreational vehicle options.
