Matthew's New Robby Rabbit Trolley Bag

School will open very soon. We decided to shop for Matthew's school needs earlier. The advantage of going earlier to the mall is there is no crowd yet. The school supplies are still organized and you can take your time picking and choosing without worrying of the long line to the cashier. Here are more back to school tips.

Aside from the school supplies, we also bought a new pair of black shoes and a school bag. Yes, we bought a new school bag because Matthew's Robby Rabbit trolley bag had to be repaired. Its handle broke but still repairable naman. Yun lang as per the promodiser it will took around 3 months to repair the bag.

So we bought a new one. In fairness naman to Matthew's Robby Rabbit trolley bag, Matthew used it for three years and the bag is still in very good condition. It can still be used once repaired and would last for years pa.

That's the reason why we still chose a Robby Rabbit trolley bag. Before we bought a new bag, we already went to Robby Rabbit and asked them about the repair details. Having heard that it will take long, we look at their new bags na. Matthew is not with us so I took photos na lang muna.

When Matthew saw the photo, he chose the red bag that is smaller than his old Robby Rabbit trolley bag.

But when we went again to buy the bag he chose, he changed his mind when he personally saw this.

Speaking of handle, the promodiser showed us how sturdy it was by stepping on it. The handle has support so it will not break easily.

Let's take a look at the inside now.

It can hold 10 books and 10-14 notebooks.

The Robby Rabbit trolley bag has additional support around the corners and potential bump spots. The sides are expandable too so now worries kung masiksik ang loob. It has side pockets too.

Aside from that, we decided not to get a house help for now. So no more yaya to fetch him and help him pull the bag up the stairs of our home. Don't worry his school is just a few steps away from our home. We wanted to teach him to be more independent.

Matthew's Surprise from Robby Rabbit

Before May ended, Robby Rabbit sent this surprise for our little boy!

Tamang tama, he will be celebrating his 6th birthday on June 16. He's willingly and happily pose for Daddy's photoshoot.

Model kung model anak!

Ang nice ng tela ng shirt promise. Ang soft and hindi mainit sa katawan. Perfect for Matthew na pawisin.

Matthew's Robby Rabbit Trolley Bag

As I have mentioned on my birthday post, last weekend we went to SM to look for Matthew's school bag. 

While we were strolling around, he saw these two standees. He immediately asked Daddy to take photos of him with Captain America.

And of course, with his favorite Iron Man.

Saw these nice bags there but we are looking for a bigger trolley bag for Matthew. 

For the last two years, this has been his bag. 

It's still in good condition with minor bruises scratches because you know kids are careless and they will just pull their bags anyway they want. Also, this bag is too small. He has 7 books and 5 notebooks last school year. Nasira ang cover at nalukot mga books nya kasi siksikan sa loob ng bag.

So now that he’ll be in grade school, he needs a bigger, sturdy bag. And we found one at Robby Rabbit.

New design daw ito as per the promodiser and he’s one of the first kids who will have it. He loves cars so Matthew immediately liked it. 

I inspected the tag and saw Php 4299.75. My gosh!

Pero masigasig si kuyang diser and showed us all its great features.

First, it’s spacious, and it can contain 13 books + 13 notebooks inside. Plus there are side, back and front pockets pa. Checked!

It’s very sturdy that Matthew, who’s around 27 kilos, can sit on it.

But I told him not to do that, malapit lang naman bahay namin sa school, hehe.

Then, look at the side. It has rubber support already.

And they add extra support at the bottom para hindi lumundo.

Nakita nyo yun mga gulong? There are 6 already made of solid rubber ng hindi agad mapudpod. Then look at what happen when you pull it. 

Sabi ni kuya, because of that feature mas magaan hilain, which is true naman.

The handle is sturdy too.

Flexible na din ang lock para mamamili man ng pasok, hindi mapuputol.

The zippers are heavy duty na rin.

And it comes with a free raincoat.

That’s Matthew’s Robby Rabbit school bag. Now, if you are planning to buy a school bag, let me share helpful tips when buying one.

Ask how many books and notebooks the bag can hold. Of course, you should know also ilan magiging books ng kids nyo plus the notebooks. Like what I have said, kung maliit ang bag at marami books, madali masisira ang bag and also the books.

Look for a bag that's easy to pull or carry. Kawawa naman our kids if the bag is not easy too pull. Their arms might get broken.

Invest in bag that is sturdy. So that you will not buy bags every year. Mas mapapamahal pa.

The bag's design. Although we are paying for it, it's important that our kids like the bag's design because they are the ones who will use it. If they like it, maiinspire sila pumasok everyday.

Value for the money. As I have mentioned already, invest in good bags. I find Robby Rabbit bag expensive but with its great features I am sure my son can use it until he graduated in grade school, hehe. I get the value for the money I paid :)

My Happy 35th Birthday

Yes, I just turned 35 last May 1. It was a long day spent with my family. But before that I had a pre-birthday celebration at work. My boss bought this nice cake.

We had our monthly meeting kasi so sinabay na din ang birthday celebration ko, which was supposedly the next day pa. Our boss paid for our lunch that we ordered from Max's then I bought the merienda na. The usual pancit malabon and ice cream.

Daddy A wasn't around because he had an audit at our plant in Tarlac. Late na dumating that afternoon. 

Anyway, my in-laws arrived that Friday to celebrate with us. Daddy said, buti pa daw ako pinuntahan nila sa birthday ko. Nag-emote pa but look how happy our little boy naman when my in-laws arrived.

On my birthday we prepared a sumptuous lunch - grilled liempo, sizzling tofu ala Max's and fried chicken. However, we failed to take photos because everyone was so hungry and in rush since they need to go back to Nueva Ecija that afternoon. 

When they left, we went to SM because it was so hot and Daddy will look for a gift daw, echos! I told him we should look for Matthew's school bag na lang. Nanay talaga, relate? 

Our little boy immediately found his new bag.

That Robby Rabbit school bag at Php 4299.75 is pricey na for me. But with it's features, which by the way deserves a separate post next time, I said yes na to Matthew because the bag will surely last for years. 

So there we bought that bag and went around. Then Matthew saw this.

He went to the registration counter and comfortably sit there. They asked him if he wants to join the SM Little Stars, he said yes. Wow, my son is very confident!

After Daddy signed him up, they gave us a registration form and a stub for a free pictorial at Photoline.

Matthew is really very independent because he went inside that photo booth alone. After that, we went home with these.

We are still undecided whether we will allow him to audition on May 15. But he liked it naman, he will dance daw. What do you think guys?

Hay, it was a long day but I will not let it pass without thanking God for giving me another year and for all the blessings He had showered us.

And my birthday will never be completed without spaghetti and ice cream!
