Part 1: Matthew Andrei's Babababababanana Party At School

On his birthday, Matthew had a babababababanana party at school and at home. It's different from what Matthew 7th birthday party at McDonald's because it's a do it yourself party.

Which means we personally made everything from this Despicable Me "Minions" bookmark birthday invitations to the food we served.

We also made these balloons.

I ordered balloons from Wholesale Balloons and Party Needs. These are metallic yellow and royal blue balloons we used to decorate our home.

While these are Despicable Me latex balloons that Matthew gave to his classmates.

And this birthday boy helped me inflate those balloons.

After doing the balloons and the party designs, I made this Festa Leche Flan I got from Del Monte Kitchenomics.

This cake naman that Daddy baked took us until 3 in the morning to design with fondant.

Our initial plan is to order cake na lang but ang mahalia naman so Daddy and I decided to buy ingredients and tools for fondant cake making at Baker's Hub. I will make a separate post on our visit there. Ayun nga dahil first timer, natagalan kami sa paggawa ng fondant at medyo hindi pa maganda pagkakalapat sa cake. But when our little boy so it, he loved it so sulit na ang pgod at puyat.

Again, it was almost 3 in the morning that Daddy A and finally got to rest and sleep. Then this little boy woke up so early, kaya imbes na sya masurprise, kami ang nasurprise sa kanya.

He woke us up and then said, "hindi nyo man lang ako batiin..." Hahaha! He was so excited kasi it's his 7th birthday na e. Did you know that he's been waiting for his 7th birthday kasi daw lahat ng classmates nya 7 na. Really funny boy hehe.

Time flies in deed. Look at him, ang laki na nya right?

With barely three hours of sleep, Daddy A and I continue with our errands that day. We needed to pick up the McDonald's Happy Meals we ordered and my brother's gift na lechon. These two lang ang hindi DIY. Hehe.

After that, we go straight to Matthew's school and they had a McDonald's celebration. 

It was a simple celebration lang. We ordered Happy Meal one-piece Chicken McDo with fries.

I was really exhausted and tired but seeing the happiness in these kids faces made me feel alive again.

Most especially this happiness I saw on our son's face made me forget na puyat na puyat ako.

Just like what I said, sobrang excited ang mga bata. When we entered the room palang, they were shouting "Happy Meal! Minions!" kasi they saw the familiar red boxes we were holding. So when it's giveaway handing time na, ayan na nagkagulo na sila!

Birthday Countdown and Preparation

Few more days and it's our little boy's 7th birthday. Time flies so fast. It's as if only yesterday when I saw his face thru this photo for the first time.

So I am doing a birthday countdown. Since it's his 7th birthday, he will have three celebrations just like my 36th birthday, haha.

On June 11, he will have an advance birthday party at McDonald's.

The plan before was a Hongkong Disneyland trip on his 7th birthday. But then when we talked to him and let him choose between having a party at McDonald's and Disneyland trip, he chose the former. Anyway, we can schedule the trip next year if time and money permit, hehe. Saka it's his first time to have a party outside home.

For that party, I already ordered a cake buffet without his knowledge. We wanted to surprise him kasi he just ask for a cake from Red Ribbon. He didn't know he will have a cake buffet. I can't wait to see his reaction.

Then on his birthday, he will have a little birthday celebration at his school. Initially, he chose The Flash theme. But McDonald's released their Despicable Me 3 toy Happy Meal, I told him why not Minions theme na lang. He agreed so I made this DIY Minion bookmark invitation.

I will print this out next week so he can give to his classmates. I still didn't know how many there are before their class will start palang on June 14. But I ordered and reserved (paid) for 20 Despicable Me 3 toy Happy Meal.

Also, I ordered yellow and  royal blue metallic balloons and Despicable Me latex printed balloons. Then we will make Despicable Me cupcakes and cakes too.

As for his birthday gift, he is asking for a  trolley scooter he saw at the mall. We are still undecided because that scooter might cause him an accident e. If I will to choose I want to buy him musical instruments like bc rich guitars at guitarcenter.com. Or a karaoke microphone because he loves to sing at videoke.

Oh the third celebration will be a dinner at our home. We will invite colleagues and friends, together with some relatives who will be coming from Nueva Ecija. So I will be busy as a bee as his birthday party approaches.

My little boy was so happy and he even told us mabuti na raw dumating na yung gift nya from McDonald's kasi aalis na sya. Yes, he needed to go back to Nueva Ecija because we still have no house help. That's really sad, I missed him so much.

Anyway, he wanted to take these McDonald's Smurfs Happy Meal toys. But we told him he can only take one and he chose the red Smurf house with Brainy Smurf.

The #McDoHappyMeal Angry Birds Toys

Last weekend, we received this big egg (as Matthew called it) from McDonald's.

Matthew was, of course, the most delighted. He can't wait to open the big egg.

McDonald's send us an invite to a special 'sneak beak' of The Angry Birds Movie on May 14. Along with the invite inside the egg are the 5 of the 10 #McDoHappyMeal Angry Birds toy collectibles. 

Look at that smile on our little boy's face.

Let's take a closer look at each toy.

This is Light-Up Red.

As his name implies, it lights up when you push the two red feather on top of his head. Red Bird is the main protagonist in The Angry Bird Movie.

This is Speedster Chuck.

This yellow bird has the ability to speed up when you glide it backward. Chuck, the yellow bird, is Red Bird's bestfriend.

This is cute pink bird is Stella.

Stella is the cute and bubbly, pink round bird.

This is Terrence.

Terence is the big brother bird. 

And this is Cowboy Pig.

As you all know, the Green Pigs are the main antagonists in the Angry Birds Movie.
